Working principle

In a closed environment, using inert gases such as nitrogen as the drying medium, and operating under positive pressure. The liquid material is dispersed into droplets by an atomizer and directly contacts with hot inert gas for heat and mass transfer, causing the solvent in the droplets to evaporate rapidly. The dried product is collected, and the inert gas is circulated after being wetted and dehumidified.


Structure Design

Sealed structure: all pipeline connections are sealed to ensure that the system has no leakage under a certain pressure. For example, the explosion-proof closed cycle centrifugal spray dryer LPG-20 can have no leakage under a pressure of 0.5MPa.

Inert gas supply system: equipped with nitrogen storage tanks, conveying pipelines, and pressure control devices, which can automatically control the amount of nitrogen entering to maintain system pressure balance.

Atomization system: Centrifugal atomizers are commonly used, as well as pressure or airflow atomizers, which can atomize the liquid into fine droplets and increase the contact area with the drying medium.

Drying tower: It is the main place for the drying process, with a well-designed airflow channel inside to allow the droplets to fully contact with inert gas and complete the drying process.

Solvent condensation and recovery system: It can recycle the solvent in the dried liquid after secondary treatment, improving resource utilization efficiency.

Detection and control system: equipped with system pressure online testing device, oxygen concentration online detection and control device, etc., using PLC+touch screen control to achieve dynamic display of process flow chart.


Performance characteristics

-High safety: Using inert gas nitrogen as the drying medium, it can prevent poisoning, oxidation, and explosion, and the system is sealed, which can effectively prevent safety accidents caused by the leakage of flammable and explosive gases.

-High thermal efficiency: Inert gas circulation reduces heat loss and improves energy utilization efficiency.

-High material recovery rate: The fully enclosed design can prevent material leakage, and the recovery rate of dry powder materials is generally ≥ 95%.

-Fast drying speed: the surface area of the material liquid increases after spray, and 95% -98% of the water can be evaporated instantly in the high temperature airflow, and the drying time is generally about 5-40sec.

-Good product quality: The material is dried in a nitrogen environment, avoiding oxidation and other reactions. The product has good dispersibility, flowability, and solubility.


Application area

Closed-loop spray dryer mainly used for processing materials containing flammable and explosive organic solvents, toxic gases, and materials that are prone to oxidation during the drying process, it is widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and lithium batteries.
